About Vouch

Getting married shouldn't be this hard. For many Muslims in the West, the process is unnecessarily expensive, gatekept, and disconnected from the communities we already belong to.

Things don't have to cost. We believe everyone deserves access to a dignified, community-supported path toward marriage — not just those who can afford premium apps or who happen to know the right people.

We need community-built initiatives. Vouch is built on the idea that the best matchmaking has always come from within the community — someone thinking of you, vouching for you, believing you'd be a good match for someone they know.

That's how our grandparents and parents got married. Someone in the community knew both families, saw potential in a match, and made it happen. It was personal. It was trusted.

Community building is extremely difficult in the West — but we can digitalize it. Many of us already come from the same communities, whether digital or in-person. We follow each other on social media, attend the same halaqas, pray at the same masjids. That network exists. We just need a structure around it.

Everyone should be given the chance to post a profile, get endorsed by someone who knows them, and have a matchmaker think of them when a potential fit comes along. Vouch makes that possible at scale.

Vouch is open source. We believe transparency builds trust, and the Muslim community deserves to see exactly how their data is handled and how the platform works.

If you're a matchmaker, you can join Vouch as a verified community matchmaker. You'll get a profile on the Matchmakers page, the ability to vouch for candidates, and a direct way for community members to reach out to you. Apply through the Matchmakers page or reach out on Discord.
